Bukit Timah Granite

The Bukit Timah Granite includes granites, adamellite, granodiorite and variouse hybrid rocks of Late Triassic age. It underlies central and northern part of Singapore forming soils weathered to depths between a few and 70 m, 30 m on average. The upper photo shows the Bukit Timah Granite in the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve.

The Bukit Timah Granite can also be found across Pulau Ubin Island and around Changi. The Lower photo shows outcrops at Chek Jawa Point at Pulau Ubin.
